IVECO and Gruber Logistics with fleet of IVECO S-Way LNG trucks for sustainable transport<\/b><\/p>\n
IVECO has signed an agreement with the Italian logistics operator for the supply of 100 vehicles powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), providing a winning combination of performance and sustainability<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Turin, 25<\/span>th<\/span> February 2021<\/span><\/p>\n IVECO has signed an agreement to <\/span>supply 100 IVECO S-Way LNG <\/b>trucks to the Italian company based in the Alto Adige region, <\/span>Gruber Logistics<\/b> \u2013 one of the most innovative and successful logistics companies in Europe. The vehicles will be provided through IVECO\u2019s local dealer in Bolzano, Gasser Srl.<\/span><\/p>\n The delivery of the <\/span>100 vehicles <\/b>is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n The decision of Gruber Logistics to convert part of its fleet to alternative fuel vehicles is driven by the company’s deep concern for the environment and its commitment to making e a tangible contribution to the achievement of the goals set by the European Union.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Also contributing to the company\u2019s decision was the location of its historical headquarters, in an area at the heart of an intense debate on environmental issues that has led the Assembly of the Tyrol region to adopt significant measures to limit the impact of pollution generated by heavy vehicles crossing the Brenner Pass.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>IVECO S-Way LNG <\/b>vehicles were the natural choice for Gruber Logistics, which has found in these heavy-duty trucks the environmental and economic sustainability \u2013 and, crucially, the high performance \u2013 that it requires. These vehicles feature technology that has been expressly designed to achieve a significant reduction in fuel consumption and pollution – bringing NO<\/span>2<\/span> down by 90% and PM down by 95%, as well as slashing CO<\/span>2<\/span> emissions by 95% compared to their diesel equivalents when biomethane is used.<\/span><\/p>\n Martin Gruber, CEO of the Group<\/b>, made the following statement: \u201c<\/span>Our objective is to have the most important fleet in Europe for sustainable transport by exploiting existing technologies and supporting innovation so that new zero-impact technologies can reach the market quickly.
