The company is following a multi-brand strategy for its fleet expansion. The vehicles were ordered from VOLVO, SCANIA and IVECO<\/strong>, manufacturers with whom Gruber Logistics maintains close partnerships. The e-trucks will have a total weight of 44 tonnes each and a range of 300 to 350 kilometres, depending on operating conditions.<\/p>\n With this sustainable fleet expansion, Gruber Logistics wants to continue its pioneering role on the path to decarbonisation of road transport. This also involves dealing with questions such as which sustainable fuel can replace diesel drive or whether the solutions available today can already represent a real alternative.<\/p>\n “For us, the investment in e-trucks is not a change of perspective, but the continuation of our path towards decarbonisation. We do not assume that some day there will be one alternative fuel that is preferable to all others. Rather, there will be a mix of solutions in the future, ranging from environmentally friendly fuels and electric solutions to the use of hydrogen. To this end, Gruber Logistics has conducted numerous tests with a wide variety of new technologies.
