The high costs associated with adopting low-emission fuels and alternative technologies have thus far limited the potential impact. Moreover, there is a widespread lack of available low-emission alternatives across Europe, with considerable disparities between countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Heavy loads and specialized transport also encounter additional challenges, such as the necessity for specialized vehicles tailored to specific customer needs, which makes transitioning to low-environmental-impact solutions even more complex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">To address these existing barriers, Gruber Logistics has introduced the Book and Claim service, ensuring the availability of low-emission solutions via alternative fuels at any time and for any type of road transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The system operates seamlessly: Gruber Logistics can procure low-emission fuels directly from suppliers, such as biogas and Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and in collaboration with the interested customer, allocate the use of these fuels to transport flows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Customers receive a certificate from Gruber Logistics confirming the purchase and consumption of low-emission fuel, which they can include in their sustainability reports to demonstrate their commitment to low-emission mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Book and Claim system is validated by external auditors and is supported by a secure, transparent, and digitalized register to monitor consumption and substantiate sustainability claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This initiative is part of a broader strategy to decarbonise heavy goods transport, also pursued by Gruber Logistics through its partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gruber-logistics.com\/en\/gruber-logistics-chooses-quality-fuel-from-delta-energy\/\">Delta Energy<\/a>, which enables the use of HVO and Bio-LNG to reduce emissions in accordance with the European RED II directive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cScaling the supply of sustainable fuels in hard-to-abate sectors such as road transport is essential for advancing sustainability in logistics.
