This electric E-Truck handles transport operations within a 100-kilometer radius of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure low-voltage switchgear plant in Leipzig, covering an average of 250 kilometers per day. Charged at the Siemens plant in Leipzig, the zero-emission truck is powered entirely by electricity generated from renewable sources. Over the course of a year, this translates to around 60,000 kilometers of emission-free transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle was recently presented during an event linked to the IAA held in Hanover, home to the major automotive and logistics trade fair. Several new electric vehicles traveled together, demonstrating that a zero-emission future is possible. The truck is a latest-generation SCANIA vehicle, a partner with which GRUBER Logistics has long shared an emissions reduction pathway ranging from new combustion-engine vehicles configured for biofuels (B100) to conventional vehicles delivering high fuel efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GRUBER Logistics and Siemens AG have a long-standing partnership focused on achieving reduced-emission transport. Siemens already uses a Bio-LNG truck from GRUBER Logistics on the route between Berlin and Frankfurt am Main. In addition, a GRUBER Logistics Bio-LNG truck is deployed for the route between the Hessian metropolis and G\u00fctersloh. Currently, the logistics company utilizes alternative fuels for 40% of its transport operations.
