The IVECO brand and the South Tyrolean company sign an agreement for the supply of 100 liquefied natural gas-powered vehicles: a confirmation that combines performance and sustainability.<\/sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turin, 25 February 2021<\/sup><\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IVECO has signed an agreement for the supply of 100 IVECO S-Way LNG<\/strong> to the South Tyrolean company GR<\/sup>UBER Logistics<\/strong>, one of<\/sup> the most innovative and successful logistics players in Europe, through its local<\/sup> reference dealership, Gasser Srl of Bolzano. The delivery of the 100 vehicles<\/strong> is plan<\/sup>ned \u2014 in several batches \u2014 by the end of the year.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision by<\/sup> GRUBER Logistics to convert part of its fleet to alternative fuels is driven by a strong commitment to environmental issues and reflects the desire to make a tangible contribution towards achieving the goals set by the European Union in this area. Moreov<\/sup>er, the geographical area hosting the company\u2019s historic headquarters is at the centre of an intense debate on the env<\/sup>ironment, which has led the Tyrolean Parliament to adopt major measures aimed at limiting<\/sup> the polluting impact of heavy goods vehicles along the Br<\/sup>enner Pass route.<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this in mind, the IVECO S-Way LNG<\/strong> vehicles were the natural choice for the custom<\/sup>er, which found in the IVECO heavy-duty trucks the sustainability \u2014 both environmental and economic \u2014 it need<\/sup>ed, without compromising on high performance. The vehicle is indeed powered by technology des<\/sup>igned to deliver a significant reduction in fuel consumption and polluting<\/sup> emissions \u2014 with 90% less $\\text{NO}_2$, 95% less PM and, when biomethane is used, 95% less $\\text{CO}_2$ compared to equivalent diesel versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
