GRUBER Logistics Expands Capacity at Its Verona Site

Auer/Verona – At the Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona, GRUBER Logistics will expand its logistics offering this spring. Across a warehouse area of 6,000 square meters, a long-standing client of the renowned logistics operator will utilize the majority of the space, which includes, among other features, racking with a capacity of up to 5,000 pallet spaces and 1,400 square meters dedicated to bulk goods, namely raw materials and unpackaged products. In addition, the new facility includes 3,000 square meters for outdoor storage. Ten loading bays and 25 docks ensure the fast handling of incoming and outgoing goods from trucks in one of the main logistics hubs in Veneto.

In 2024, GRUBER Logistics established itself in a logistics hub equipped with modern offices, which currently accommodates approximately 100 direct employees across office and warehouse operations. Already equipped with 70 loading docks to support the company’s extensive operations in Veneto, this hub is now complemented by the new capacity located in the immediate vicinity, as part of a long-term agreement with a client.

“This expansion in Verona is a clear example of how solid partnerships and a shared long-term vision can generate sustainable growth. Together with our clients, we make targeted investments that not only strengthen our operational capabilities, but also create lasting value. Our strategies are closely aligned, allowing us to mutually support our growth and build a resilient, future-oriented logistics network,” says Marco Manfredini, COO of GRUBER Logistics.

GRUBER Logistics has been present in Verona for more than four decades. In this city of over 250,000 residents, favored by its strategic location along the Brenner corridor, nearly 100 employees work on behalf of the company and its clients. The development of this site has contributed significantly to the group’s growth in the transport and logistics sector in recent years.

Manuel Scaramuzza, Executive Director Logistics Services & Solution, emphasizes: “For us, logistics is not a commodity, but a value-added service. Facilities like this allow us to combine operational excellence, people development, and digital infrastructure. By integrating these elements, we create solutions that go beyond simple cargo handling and generate measurable benefits for our clients’ supply chains.”

GRUBER Logistics can also rely on an established and fruitful partnership with Interporto Quadrante Europa. The vast area located in the western part of the city provides ideal conditions for managing daily logistics operations.

Matteo Gasparato of Consorzio ZAI, which spearheaded the development of the Interporto Quadrante Europa freight terminal as a driving engine for economic growth in the Verona region, adds: “The opening of the second warehouse at Interporto Quadrante Europa confirms the central importance of our freight hub as a strategic logistics platform at both national and European levels. This investment strengthens the operational capacity of the Verona network and consolidates its role in international freight flows, bringing tangible benefits to both businesses and the region.”
