New management for the GRUBER Logistics site in Turkey
In view of Turkey’s economic growth and its increasing strategic importance, GRUBER Logistics expanded into the Turkish market as early as the beginning of 2023. Now the company has completed its start-up phase, reorganising its activities to make the most of its positioning in connections between Europe and Asia.
The start-up phase involved carrying out new activities, such as conducting thorough research to understand local market dynamics, including demand, competition, and the regulatory framework. The Turkish logistics sector is experiencing rapid growth, supported by significant investments in infrastructure. This growth presents both opportunities and challenges that new market entrants must be able to address. This has led to the creation of a new local team, with two offices in Istanbul and Izmir. The conclusion of the first phase of GRUBER Logistics’ project in the country also corresponds to an expansion of services—a necessary step to coordinate the growing range of activities managed in the country.
Marcello Corazzola, Managing Director of GRUBER Logistics, explains GRUBER Logistics’ commitment to adopting a systemic approach, aware of the great importance of the emerging Turkish market and its central role as a cultural and economic hub: “Our goal is to strengthen our presence in the country, starting with the appointment of a new Branch Manager in Turkey, Rifat Cicek, who will be responsible for developing the Turkish market and expanding the team. Our main hub for international connections with Turkey is Trieste, where we can count on an established team; in addition, for LTL services, and in the future also for groupage, we can rely on a new hub located in Verona, which guarantees daily international shipments throughout Europe. A systemic approach of this kind is essential to satisfy all B2B supply chain requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage of services connecting Turkey with the whole of Europe.”
