My desk Gruber: major revamp of the IT portal
Gruber Logistics has recently launched the new version of the Beyond My Desk Gruber portal, the platform developed by the company’s IT department. In its updated version, it offers customers and suppliers significant functional improvements for more efficient collaboration, as well as greater transparency and data security. Among the most important innovations are a modernised user interface, a more powerful data infrastructure and more advanced features.
Beyond MyDesk Gruber is a key component of Gruber Logistics’ digital strategy. The company’s IT department developed the portal in 2020 with the aim of creating software solutions capable of facilitating collaboration between partners and suppliers and increasing transparency for customers – two key strategic aspects in an increasingly competitive sector. The relaunch of the platform therefore marks a significant step in the digital evolution of the transport and logistics company.
This update represents a further step forward in the digitalisation of transport, an area in which Gruber Logistics continues to invest heavily to ensure smoother processes, real-time access to data and cutting-edge technological solutions.

The portal consists of a central interface for order management and communication, and records a large number of visits from customers and suppliers. By using it, customers can track their shipments, download proof of delivery and tax documents, and upload orders in Excel format via the warehouse management system. Suppliers can use the portal to access orders placed by Gruber Logistics worldwide, upload transport documents and invoices, specify exact collection and delivery dates, and thereby increase data transparency for their own customers. To date, the portal has processed around 2.6 million transport records.
“With the new version of the Gruber Beyond MyDesk platform, we have not only optimised the user experience but also made the platform more stable and secure. Our customers can therefore benefit from faster processes and more intuitive operations,” said Günther Erb, Executive Director of the IT department at Gruber Logistics, who added: “These advances make it much easier for us to integrate new features into the platform for the benefit of our customers.”
The relaunch of the platform therefore brings significant technological advancements, such as an optimised data infrastructure with enhanced microservices that ensures higher performance and flexibility, whilst at the same time improving security measures to guarantee greater protection of sensitive data. The interface has been modernised and designed to be more user-friendly, whilst the introduction of the so-called ‘Stop’ structure improves the readability of transport orders. In future, users will also be able to report issues directly via the portal, thereby reducing resolution times, and gather ongoing feedback for future improvements
