GRUBER Logistics opens two new branches in Emilia-Romagna through the acquisition of COMBITRAS
Today’s logistics and transport sector is characterized by growing complexity and an ongoing search for solutions capable of streamlining the value chain while expanding services and making life easier for customers. Elements such as research and development, digital innovation, extensive network coverage, international presence, and the ability to offer eco-sustainable solutions are crucial competitive drivers today, which can only be achieved through synergies between players sharing the same vision of the future.
Driven by this logic, GRUBER Logistics has acquired ownership of Combitras, a company established over thirty years of experience as one of the leading players in Emilia-Romagna for both part load shipments and integrated logistics.
During this period of economic contraction, GRUBER Logistics has not slowed down the rollout of its strategic plan, which includes expanding its network both in Italy and abroad. Today, GRUBER Logistics ranks among the top players in the industry, with a presence in ten countries, thirty-five operational branches, and more than 1,100 employees.

For GRUBER, this represents a significant reinforcement in one of Italy’s main regions of economic interest where the company has operated until now without a physical local presence. From today, it can count on two new branches, one in Cesena and one in Bologna, as well as on the collaboration of a new working team led by Massimo Bagnoli, current CEO of COMBITRAS.
Marcello Corazzola, Managing Director of GRUBER Logistics, emphasizes that the company had long planned to strengthen its presence in Emilia-Romagna:
“Meeting people who share our vision and values made us lean towards an acquisition rather than proceeding with a new opening. Today, GRUBER has an extensive nationwide presence and a European network capable of handling shipments across the continent.”
A forward-looking vision that Martin Gruber, at the helm of the eponymous industrial Group now in its third entrepreneurial generation, fully shared with Massimo Bagnoli and his team.
Despite the challenging economic climate we are experiencing, we see signs of recovery where globally operating multinationals find alignment and synergy with highly specialized local companies to build a shared idea of the future.
