New hub for Gruber Logistics within the Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona

Gruber Logistics is ready to inaugurate a new hub within the Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona. In recent years, Gruber Logistics has made giant strides in its expansion: pre-pandemic, the company’s turnover stood at around 360 million euros, figures that have now doubled thanks to both considerable organic growth and the internationally significant acquisition of the German group Universal Transport.

This investment marks a major step forward for the company, strategically positioning it at the heart of one of Europe’s main freight transport hubs. With a success story already established in Verona for 40 years, Gruber Logistics further strengthens its presence with this new hub, representing an investment of over two million euros. Equipped with 70 loading bays and expected to welcome up to 100 new team members by the end of the year, the hub will be able to manage daily departures throughout Europe.

“Verona has long been a crucial hub for our operations, and the opening of this hub underlines our commitment to serving customers efficiently and reliably by simplifying their operations. This investment allows us to further consolidate our position in logistics, international and domestic distribution, and intermodal transport.”

— Christian Gruber, President of Gruber Logistics

“Our added value in the market is the ability to offer integrated solutions to our customers. This is evident first and foremost in our infrastructure investments. Verona is a multi-service hub where logistics, domestic and international distribution, full truckload, and intermodal transport create synergies with one another.”

— Marcello Corazzola, Board Member and Managing Director

“We are proud to welcome Gruber Logistics to the Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona. The establishment of such a prestigious company is a tangible sign of the strength and attractiveness of our freight village as a benchmark logistics hub. Gruber’s decision to settle here demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Verona’s freight village to providing high-quality services and cutting-edge infrastructure. We look forward to the future with enthusiasm and are confident that this new partnership will contribute significantly to the economic and logistical development of our territory.”

— Matteo Gasparato, President of Consorzio ZAI

Innovation and digital collaboration

The collaboration between Gruber Logistics and Interporto Quadrante Europa is long-established and goes beyond the simple relationship between a logistics company and an infrastructure manager. Indeed, the two organizations collaborate in promoting key topics such as digitalization and sustainability, in particular through their joint commitment to research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission.

A joint project between the two entities is already underway on digital cooperation to promote intermodal transport, and further initiatives are in the pipeline regarding the application of artificial intelligence solutions for managing logistics flows and digital twins for infrastructure management.
