Gruber Logistics Office in Shanghai: Ricky Wu is the New Branch Manager
With a population of around 25 million and one of the largest container ports in the world, the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai is a major hub for international logistics companies such as Gruber Logistics. That is why we have had an office here for more than ten years: to provide an established base for our import and export operations in the Far East.
Ricky Wu has been working at Gruber Logistics in Shanghai for nearly the entire duration of our presence in this city. After graduating in international trade and logistics, he advanced his career within the company and, as of July 2024, is the new Branch Manager of our Shanghai branch. Ricky Wu has clear goals in mind:
“My goal is to further increase our gross revenue and profit margin over the coming years. On the one hand, we will achieve this by further expanding our local operations, adding three people to the team, and establishing Gruber Logistics’ versatile services even more firmly in the market to win new customers. On the other hand, we are working to enhance service quality and scope for our existing clients, managing every project in the best possible way.”
At the Shanghai branch, Ricky Wu and his team are responsible, among other things, for the following Gruber logistics services:
-
Sea, air, rail, breakbulk, and RoRo options
-
Packaging
-
Customs clearance
-
Warehousing and distribution
-
Truck deliveries
Carsten Sommer, Executive Director of the Business Unit Project Cargo, Air & Ocean, also foresees many opportunities for Ricky Wu and his team at the Shanghai location: “With Ricky Wu, we now have a dynamic, young yet already experienced manager leading our Chinese branch. Backed by the entire Gruber Logistics network and the employees working in Shanghai, we see great potential in this location.”
As part of strengthening the existing network, a key role is played by our long-standing branch in Verona, a crucial hub for many European routes. Learn more about the Gruber Logistics branch in Verona
