Gruber Logistics has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible and future oriented logistics: the company has signed the Metropolitan Charter for Ethical Logistics, and our Bologna branch has formally adhered to the initiative. Promoted by the Metropolitan City of Bologna, the Charter encourages transparency, sustainability, and a people centred approach across the logistics sector.

Significance for the Bologna hub

With the signing in February 2026, the number of Interporto Bologna companies committed to the Charter has risen to 16. This milestone forms part of the Interporto’s broader ESG strategy and helps strengthen a model of ethical and responsible logistics that extends beyond the boundaries of the Bologna hub.

Our long standing commitment

The Charter reinforces a principle we have been pursuing for many years: building a supply chain based on clear, transparent, and verifiable criteria—while respecting the people and regions in which we operate. For Gruber Logistics, responsible logistics means combining economic performance with social and environmental responsibility.

A perspective from the Bologna branch

“For us, Gruber Logistics Bologna is a place where competence, innovation, and ethics grow together—within a strategic area that plays a key role in the country’s logistics and industrial development. Signing the Charter confirms that competitive logistics can—and must—also be fair and sustainable.”

Marco Chiffi, Branch Manager Bologna

The signing of the Metropolitan Charter marks another important milestone in our ongoing effort to shape logistics responsibly and contribute to the sustainable development of our industry.
